"Nature and dreams"

Alpha is the name that the humans gave me. For them, I’m simply a fish, one adorned by bright colours.

But, in reality, I’m not a fish. I’m the result of the union between nature and dreams. My mother is the ocean, she gave me the ability to swim through this world. My father is the starry sky, he gave me the ability to see all dreams, day dreams and night dreams. My form represents nature, my colours represent dreams.

I live in a library, a place where nature and dreams have been united and inmortalized in the form of books. I observe how humans pick up a book and start reading, how they start dreaming about what is described in them. Never have two humans dreamed the same, all of them dream differently. I observe how they all perceive nature differently. Some see winter as a beautiful time of year, while others see it as the worst of the year. Some see the waves as a harmless force, others see them as their worst enemy.

Of the humans, some are inspired to unite dreams and nature themselves and write.

I’m Alpha, the ever silent observer of this amazing phenomenon.
